When you are pregnant with your first child you think everything is adorable, cute, tiny and exciting and while all of that is true you need to know exactly what cute, tiny and adorable items you need to include in your diaper bag in order to survive motherhood. As a new mom there will be two things attached to you, your child and your diaper bag.
Here are some things you will want to take with you everywhere you go.
Diapers- this of course is stating the obvious in a diaper bag but always have at least 5 diapers on you at all times
Wipes- Wipes clean your child after dirty diapers but they are also great for cleaning little noses, hands and areas that your child might touch like a restaurant table.
Change of clothes- Accidents happen so always include at least 2 extra outfits because you never know when your child is going to cover an outfit with spit up or a dirty diaper leak.
Pacifiers- These are great mute buttons for when you are out and about and trying to soothe your young one.
Bottle- have an extra bottle clean and ready to go in case you do not have access to sink to clean the current bottle before the next feeding
Travel Formula- Most formula comes in travel powder or liquid so always try to have two to three bottles worth. Bottled Water is good and helpful when mixing powder formula on the go
Bibs and Burp Cloths- These are great to have to help you cut down on having to changing your babys clothes or your own due to spit up.
Toys- Keep your little one occupied with their favorite toy while you talk to the doctor or checkout at the grocery store.
Medicine- Medicines are great to have on hand like Tylenol and orajel for an uncomfortable and teething child.
Disposable Bags- Keep these on hand to dispose of dirty diapers when no trash can is nearby.
Every mother has to decide what is best for her and her baby but these items are the most commonly needed items when caring for small children.
